Pemberdayaan Siswa melalui Pemanfaatan Kecerdasan Buatan dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berbicara Bahasa Arab di MA Ma’arif Sukorejo
Abstrak
Speaking skill is a productive competence that serves as a key indicator of successful Arabic language learning in Islamic senior high schools (madrasah). However, in practice, many students still face psychological and linguistic barriers, such as low self-confidence, limited vocabulary (mufradat), lack of fluency, and inaccuracies in sentence structure (tarkib). This community service program aimed to empower students through the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology as an interactive, adaptive, and reflective medium for speaking practice. The program was implemented at MA Ma’arif Sukorejo over a one-month period using participatory and collaborative approaches. The implementation stages included preparation (initial observation and module development), conceptual training on the use of AI in Arabic language learning, guided practice through AI-based dialogue and monologue simulations, as well as intensive mentoring and evaluation. The results demonstrated increased student participation in classroom activities, greater courage and self-confidence in speaking, and improved ability to organize and deliver ideas more systematically and communicatively. Instant feedback provided by the AI system enabled students to independently correct structural and pronunciation errors. Therefore, the use of AI proved to be effective as a self-directed practice tool in enhancing the quality of maharah al-kalam (Arabic speaking skills). This program recommends the structured and systematic integration of AI into Arabic language instruction in madrasah while maintaining the teacher’s role as the primary facilitator.
